Phi Kappa Tau is a "social" fraternity, which means we enjoy taking time out from the books, lines, parking lots and outside jobs to have a good time.
There has been a misconception, coming largely from press coverage and from days past, that fraternities only party irresponsibly. However, in the last decade Phi Kappa Tau, along
with the rest of the Greek system, has taken steps to insure that proper Risk Management policies are understood and enforced by the members, so that good times can be had at social functions without disturbing or harming anyone. You could call it "clean fun". Phi Kappa Tau is a member of FIPG, Inc ( Fraternity Information Programming Group, which can be reached at: www.fipg.org), a national organization whose mission is to promote sound Risk Management policies and practices.
The Barn's location at the corner of State College and Yorba Linda Boulevards (directly across from Titan Stadium) has proven to be a big advantage for social functions. With ample adjacent parking (our own parking lot, plus the CSUF overflow lots), and plenty of distance from neighbors, we host quality social events from the best campus location.
Events include parties, exchanges (one-on-one parties with Sororities from CSUF and
other colleges), mixers, philanthropy events (typically for our local affiliate of The Hole-in-the-Wall-Gang Camps), on-campus events like our own Red & Gold Week and Greek Week, and
many brotherhood activities. These are the times we bond as brothers, and we'll look back after graduation and say "Remember when we....."
