Barn Restoration Project - 2000

The drawing below shows the plans for the remodel of the Barn, completed in November 2000. Highlights of the project:  1) Relocation and modernization of the kitchen; 2) Add large bath with 3 showers where there was a bedroom  (southeast corner of building, off of south patio); 3) Add 2 new bedrooms in current 3) Add 2 new bedrooms where old kitchen was located; 4) Remodeled old bathroom (off living room) to include disabled access, and 5) Create 2 bedrooms from present  large bedroom located off the living room (east side of house). The project provided 8 bedrooms (up from 6), and will increase live-in capacity from 11/12 to 14/15 brothers.  The project was funded from the House Corporation surplus, plus a loan from Phi Kappa Tau National, plus alumni donations. Cost of the project was nearly $100,000. Pictures below were taken during construction.
